I woke up and had a pretty slow morning before heading to the harbour on Nusa Penida to make my way back to Bali, nothing much else to report from that trip excluding having to get a small boat out to the actual boat which we actually headed back in, including them taking the luggage first which was interesting, either way I was glad not to have to get a boat for a while after this.

Once I got back I picked up ye old faithful moped from the same company I first used and headed back over to Canggu. I decided to push the budget to £40 a night and got myself a nice hotel for a few nights to chill out again for a bit.
The plan was pretty much just surfing as many days as possible with Windu (the instructor I was recommended for my first lesson) and relaxing for the rest of the time.

On the first night I continued the theme of treating myself and went to Alpha Agro for some steak and this questionable local beer, at the same time I started thinking about what to do for the rest of my time in Bali which was now fast approaching, but I struggled.
I decided to come back to planning the next day and realised that I was struggling because I’d pretty much ticked off everything I wanted to do, sure I could go and see some more waterfalls or just some of the other gems I’m sure Bali has to offer, but I felt that I didn’t need to keep trying to cross from one side of Bali to the other to find them which was actually quite refreshing.
The new mindset meant I could just enjoy the next few days, surfing was getting better and better, by no means pro but at least I’m off the beginner board now and onto one that hurts more when it hits me in the face, as I found out on one of my less successful lessons.
I even managed to find a good local beer and even better food at Genius Bistro next to the hotel, again, life feels good!
