What to do on a tiny island

The answer is pretty much Scuba diving, I got to this conclusion after I was going through my Airbnb’s information and found out they’d partnered with a company called 3WDive offering 10% off any booking, the thrifty side of me then decided to check for others in the area to make sure it was a good deal and the island is literally covered in them.

I can’t say I’ve ever really had a yearning to Scuba dive but non the less, the theme of this trip is doing everything I can and taking in new experiences so I decided why not give it a go, unfortunately I don’t have any photos or videos which is probably explained by my conclusion.

The conclusion is that it’s an amazing experience you have to try, being able to explore the depths of the ocean and take in all the sea life is incredible, however, I did find it quite difficult.

Fortunately I had a very patient instructor and managed to complete a 45 minute dive in the open water by the end with some perseverance, which I was very happy with, but I spent a long time trying to get the basics and relax as it all feels so foreign. I’m not in a rush to go back or get my license but I’d definitely do it again depending on where I am in the world.

Not much to report for the rest of the day to be honest, I felt pretty beat after a morning in the sea so just relaxed, pretty easy when you’re in a place like this.

Also, today’s mention for food goes to Mama Pizza, a must visit on the island, apologies to all that recognise pizza is not a local Indonesian delicacy, but it’s delicious.
